This course explores how smart technologies - including IoT sensors, AI video analytics, Vision-Language Models (VLM), and autonomous patrol robots - can strengthen safety and risk management in construction and facility management sectors. Through practical applications such as IoT bamboo putlog monitoring, smoke and heat detection, temperature monitoring, and intelligent site surveillance, participants will learn to identify risks earlier, respond faster, and maintain clearer safety records. This course is accepted by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity.
